Every STANLEY® tool can be identified by SKU number. The best place to find this number is on the barcode label on the packaging, but if you don’t have this the SKU number can often also found on the product itself.

Serial Number

The Serial Number is unique to each tool and can often be found on the same label or near the SKU Number. It can consist of just numbers or a mixture of letters and numbers. In case you cannot find your serial number: please input your date of purchase e.g. 20062021.

Product Date Code

A date code is the year of manufacture followed by the week. It is an 8 digit code. Comprised of a 4 digit number followed by a 2 digit number, then another 2 digit number (which is sometimes alpha-numeric).
